HVCC Tops MVCC In Third Round of NJCAA Championship Series

Hudson Valley Community College won the third round game against Mohawk Valley Community College at the SUNY Broome Ice Center in Binghamton, 8-4. It was the third round of the NJCAA Championship series. HVCC never trailed in the game.

HVCC jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period on goals by Sean Spohr, Hunter Craig, who also had two assists in the game, Tyler DeMarco and Chris Breault.

The Vikings increased their lead to 5-0 in the second period on a goal by Adam Hosmer. MVCC finally got on the board in the second on a a goal by Jordan Trudeau.

In the third MVCC came within two on goals by Kyle Cronin and CJ Buckingham. But HVCC put the game away on two goals by Troy Bennett and Kyle Constanty. Hunter Pate ended the scoring for the Hawks.
