Dear Hockey Family,
Hockey is here! The Rochester Junior Americans are excited and ready to get going. Training camp opens Monday morning for all four of our teams.
As our programs grows, so does the reach of where players come from to play here. Most players from out of state or out of country not only get the opportunity to develop on the ice but also a chance to live with a local family in our billet program.
The billet program is rewarding for both the players and the host family. The players get a sense of family, routine and security. The rewards for the host family are numerous. As a billet family over the past few years, Our family built great and lasting friendships. My wife now gets cards from past billets on Mothers Day and we look forward to visits from past billets to share memories and to awe at their development into adulthood.
The Junior Americans need your help.
Please consider being a host family. We are four families short for the year. The commitment is only for 6-7 months and includes a monthly stipend of $400. Players go home for the holidays.
