The Buffalo Jr. Sabres continue to win at home as they defeat the Orangeville Flyers by a score of 5-1. Buffalo started off the game slow, but turned the game in their favor with a strong second period effort.  Buffalo goalie Joseph Pianta had another stellar performance in net only allowing one goal.
The first period started slow as mentioned with a lot of turnovers on both sides of the ice.  Buffalo ended up ahead on the scoreboard after the first period with a goal coming from Nolan Sheeran unassisted.  The shots after the first period were Orangeville with 11 and Buffalo with 9.
In the second period we saw a much different Buffalo team as they pressured Orangeville on both ends of the ice.  Buffalo came out firing as well with three goals in the second period.  The first from Tim Kielich on the power play from Nick DeSimone and Darren McCormick.  The second came from Nick DeSimone from Ryan Kuhn and Nolan Sheeran, and the third of the period and fourth goal for the Jr. Sabres came from Darren McCormick from Nick Smith.
The third period was a much tighter game as Orangeville scored short handed midway through the period, but Buffalo answered on a the power play from Nathan Black.  Goaltender Joseph Pianta had another great win saving 22 of the 23 shots he faced.  The next home game for Buffalo is Monday October 28 vs Lindsay Muskies.
