Kenmore will advance to the Section VI Championship game on Wednesday after defeating Lancaster/Iroquois 2-1 at Northtowns Center this evening.

The first period ended 0-0 but 36 seconds into the second period Taylor Story scored with an assist coming from Emily King. Second period ends 1-0 in favor of Kenmore.

It looked as though that would be the final score when Ana Orzechowski put in an empty netter at 14:23 of the third period and the game ends 2-1. Kenmore Goaltender Lauren Pray got the shutout.

In between the pipes for Lancaster/Iroquois was Senior Maddy Norton.

Kenmore will face either Orchard Park/Frontier or Williamsville in the Championships.

The Orchard Park/Frontier vs Williamsville game was postponed due to the closing the Orchard Schools due to weather. The game will now be played at 4 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 3) at Northtowns.
