Margie on her mammoth journey
Fact: Kidneys. We all have them. We all NEED them. When they don’t function, we don’t function. Simple as that.
But why isn’t there more emphasis on the importance of them? And why isn’t more help given to those whose kidneys don’t work as well as they should?
Well, things are about to change. Inspirational and determined Margie Raynor is a primary school teacher from South Australia who is going on a mammoth solo cycle. The Renal Ride 2010 journey started in Adelaide on 19 September and finishes in Sydney 13 October.
Margie’s mission is clear: she wants to raise awareness and much-needed funds for kidney-related diseases!
Renal Ride 2010 is a completely self-funded ride that hopes to raise over $10,000 for the Kidney Foundation Australia.
Margie has raised over $25,000 over the past 5 years to help her daughter Alison, who was born with vesicoureteric reflux, and other kidney disease sufferers.
Margie is inviting everyone from Adelaide to Sydney to get on board and show their financial support for this EXTREMELY important cause. She is in Yass from 3-4 Oct, and Canberra 5-6 Oct.
