ASTON, PA. – Neumann’s Jackie Schneider scored the game-tying goal with 2:42 remaining in regulation as the Knights and the Red Dragons played to a 4-4 overtime tie Saturday afternoon in non-conference action to complete a two-game weekend series.
Sophomore Samantha Pippin (Allen Park, MI/Team Detroit) led the Red Dragons (1-0-1) with two goals. Sophomore Emily King (Buffalo/Buffalo Regals) tallied a goal and an assist, sophomore Miranda Kolb (Watertown/Syracuse Nationals) netted a goal and sophomores Cahrlie Calamari (Barrington, IL/Chicago Fury) and Emily Rose (Clayton/Syracuse Nationals) and freshman Katelinn Cummings (Johnson City/Northwood School) added an assist. Sophomore goalie Rachael Farmer (Grand Island/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) turned aside 26 shots.
Bek Lucas scored twice and added an assist for the Knights (0-1-1). Katelyn Brown had a goal and and two assists, while Schneider recorded a goal and an assist. Zoe Harkins, Sammy Patrick and Steph Grundy collected one assist apiece. Goalie Helen Cooney made 45 saves.
