Niagara junior Eric Cooley had a career-best three assist effort to lead the Purple Eagles to a 4-1 win at RIT for a crucial two points in their effort to secure a first round home playoff series. The Purps got depth scoring from Jared Brandt (3), Jon Hill (2) and Lancaster’s Ryan Cook (3) in addition to Ben Sokay netting his second-on-the-team ninth.

Sophomore Chandler Judd scored his first collegiate goal with 89 seconds remaining in regulation as Fredonia defeated Cortland 3-2 to keep their conference playoff hopes alive. The Blue Devils are one point behind Plattsburgh and Potsdam for the final spot, but five teams are within two points of each other for that same position with the season finale tomorrow.
Nazareth senior defenseman Sean Hallice scored his first collegiate goal in his 76th career game–the game-winner about midway through the third period as the Golden Flyers upset 13th nationally ranked Wilkes. With Neumann’s overtime loss to Manhattanville, Naz is two points ahead for fifth place in NCHC and will play either Elmira or Stevenson in the first round of the playoffs depending on Saturday’s results.
