MONTREAL — Former Buffalo Regal, Nichols School, Jr. Sabres and Lake View, NY native Joey Muldowney was selected in the sixth round 172nd overall by San Jose in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft held this week in Montreal.
Muldowney, committed to play at the University of Connecticut in 2023-24, is a 5’11”, 164 lb. forward has averaged over one point per game in each of his last three seasons. With Nichols this past year he racked up 57 goals and 90 points in 56 games. He also saw three games with Des Moines in the USHL where he scored one goal with one assist.
With the Jr. Sabres in 2020-21, he had 26 points during the shortened 26 games schedule and he had 50 points in 32 games with the Regals the season prior.
