Dylan McLaughlin notched eight points in five October games as Canisius opened the 2017-18 season with a 2-2-1 record. He scored in four of five games in the month, with Canisius going 2-1-1 in those games, including 2-1-0 in league games.
McLaughlin is tops in Atlantic Hockey in scoring average and trails the overall scoring leader by one point. He has two power-play goals and four multi-point games. McLaughlin finished the month with a plus-two rating, tied for the best amongst Golden Griff skaters.
