2019 Minnesota Wild draft pick, NTDP alum will skate for Team Blue |
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today that defenseman Marshall Warren (Laurel Hollow, N.Y./U.S. National Under-18 Team) has been added to the U.S. roster that will compete in the 2019 World Junior Summer Showcase. Warren will skate for Team Blue in place of defenseman Alec Regula (West Bloomfield, Mich./London Knights), who is unable to attend camp. A bronze medalist with the 2019 U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team that competed in the 2019 IIHF Under-18 Men’s Worlds Championship, Warren skated two seasons with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round, 166th overall, in the 2019 NHL Draft, Warren will play collegiate hockey next season as a member of the Boston College men’s ice hockey team.The 44-player U.S. roster is divided into two teams — Team Blue and Team White — for the first portion of camp. Beginning July 30, the U.S. will trim to one roster for the remaining portion of camp.The week-long event will include 11 international competitions between Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States. The event features the best Under-20 players from four nations – the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden – auditioning for a spot to represent their country in the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship. |
