BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – LIU women’s ice hockey freshman Jeannie Wallner was named the NEWHA Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office.
Wallner piled up five points of offense across two games for LIU, who outscored Post by a 10-1 margin on the weekend. She posted a goal and an assist on Friday before producing two markers and a helper on Saturday. She notched a plus-five rating across the two games.
Up next, the Sharks have a break before hosting Saint Anselm, Friday, November 19 at 3 p.m.
