Lockport Loses Opening Playoff Game To Jersey Shore

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Lockport faces elimination next time out.

Jersey Shore’s penalty kill excelled, as Jersey Shore gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

In the losing effort, Lockport were led by Justin Andriaccio, who racked up two goals. Andriaccio scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lockport. The goal was assisted by Jordan Pocobello and Frank II Vecchio. Andriaccio’s next tally on the power play made the score 2-1 Lockport in the second period. Christopher Gasiewicz and Ryan Logar registered the assists on the goal.

Jersey Shore kept Lockport’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Fitzpatrick made 44 saves on 47 shots.

Jersey Shore were helped by Dylan Plsek, who had one goal.Plsek scored in the third period to make the score 3-2 Jersey Shore. The score was assisted by Jared Karas and John Rubin.Jersey Shore also had goals scored by Plsek, Bogdan Khvatov, and Travis Valvo, who each put in one. In addition, Jersey Shore received assists from Karas, who had two and Freddie Schaljo, Marcus McCall, Christian Cooley, and Rubin, who each chipped in one.

Lockport kept Jersey Shore’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Scott Albertoni made 31 saves on 33 shots.

More assists for Lockport came via Logar, Pocobello, Vecchio, and Gasiewicz, who contributed one apiece.

Jersey Shore incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Lockport incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
