Ukko-Pakka Luukkonen made 32 saves to register his first AHL shutout and the Prospect Line of Peyton Krebs centering JJ Peterka and Jack Quinn accounted for two goals and five points as Rochester avenged Friday’s loss to Cleveland with a 4-0 shutout Saturday.
“Of course you think about it (the shutout), but I think we handled it really well as a team,” Luukkonnen said. “I appreciate the effort from the boy’s today.
“I have all the (milestone) pucks from when I played in Finland Under-18 league at my families place, so once I get back home I’ll put it there.”
Michael Mersch and Casey Fitzgerald scored the other two goals for the Amerks.
Rochester next hosts Utica Wednesday night.
