Lynch Hired as new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College Department of Athletics and Recreation and Director of Athletics Julene Caulfield announced the hiring of Joel Lynch, today, Monday, Feb. 1, as the new head strength and conditioning coach.

“We are very lucky to bring someone of Joel’s caliber to Manhattanville and our Strength and Conditioning program,” Caulfield said. “Joel comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience from both Division I and III and I am excited for him to begin working with our Valiant student-athletes.”

Lynch comes to Manhattanville with a wealth of high level coaching experience at the Division I and Division III levels. His most recent stop before Manhattanville was Stony Brook University where he held the title of assistant director of athletic performance and was in charge of all aspects of sports nutrition.

He began his career as a strength and conditioning student intern at Ithaca College where he graduated in 2015 with a degree in exercise science. Lynch then went on to serve as an intern at the University of Arizona in 2015 and spent time as a personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the Manhattanville Athletics Staff. I am looking forward to building relationships with every student-athlete, and to contribute to the continued success of our teams,” Lynch said.

Lynch will begin his tenure as head strength and conditioning coach Monday, Feb 1.
