ANNVILLE, Pa. – For the fifth time this season, junior netminder Tyler Feaver (Whitby, Ont./Whitby Fury (OJHL)) of the Manhattanville College men’s hockey team was recognized as the Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

The junior made only one appearance between the pipes for Manhattanville last week, turning aside 21 of the 22 shots he faced in earning a 7-1 victory over Chatham University on Friday night. Feaver allowed only one delayed-penalty goal late in the first period before stopping the final 16 shots he faced, helping to keep the Cougars scoreless on six power-play opportunities.

Feaver has continued his strong play in recent weeks, and enters the final week of the regular season with a 7-7-4 record along with a 2.25 goals against average and .919 save percentage. The junior, who has been honored by the MAC in all five months of the season so far, leads all MAC goalies in goals against average and ranks second in save percentage this season.

In 56 games as a Valiant, Feaver is 26-23-6 with a 2.92 goals against average and .899 save percentage. With a season still to go, he already ranks third in school history in saves (1,456), fourth in wins, and eighth in both goals against average and save percentage.

Feaver and Manhattanville will conclude the regular season with two big UCHC matchups on the road this weekend, beginning on Friday night at 7 p.m. against Nazareth College.
