St. Lawrence University sophomore Lucy Morgan has been named the MAC Goaltending ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year.
Morgan led the Saints to a second-place finish in the ECAC Hockey standings, posting a .938 save percentage and a 2.06 goals against average in conference play. She made more than 30 saves in five of her nine starts, and posted four wins over ranked opponents, including three over Clarkson in the last week of the regular season. She allowed fewer than three goals in six of her nine starts, and was on the winning end of three one-goal games.
Morgan is just the second women’s hockey player in St. Lawrence history to win the league’s Goaltender of the Year Award. Rachel Barrie ’04 won the award three times from 2002-2004.
