MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Northeast Women’s Hockey League (NEWHL) has announced its weekly award winners for action ending November 7, naming SUNY Morrisville freshman forward Hailee Easson (Okotoks, Alta.) the Rookie of the Week.
Easson collected her first collegiate score Friday afternoon, the game winner in overtime against Potsdam.
The freshman deflected the shot from the blue line in the 3v3 overtime period over the shoulder of the Potsdam netminder 1:03 into the extra frame.
Morrisville is currently 2-1 to date on the season, with a 1-0 NEWHL record after the win over Potsdam.
