Mustangs Lose To Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Mustangs returned to the ice for the first time in 2016 as they traveled just 28 miles northeast to Utica College. The host Pioneers came away with the win however, as they defeated Morrisville State 6-1.

Utica College scored twice in the first period before the Mustangs could get on the board with two minutes remaining in the first. Jordan Carvalho (Brampton, Ontario) netted his second goal of the season and the only goal of the game for Morrisville. Joseph Santino (Woodbridge, Ontario) and Darren Young (Woodstock, Ontario) picked up the assists.

The Pioneers extended their lead to 3-1 with five seconds remaining in the first period. Utica College would go on to score once in the second period and twice in the third, making the final score 6-1.

Morrisville will return home for the first time in 2016 on Saturday, January 9 for a 4:00 PM face off against non-conference opponent, Becker College.
