WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Morrisville got on the board first with a CJ Stubbs (Pleasant Grove, Utah) flip top shelf after a quick cross from Nick DeVito (Averill Park, N.Y.) to make the score 1-0 at the 4:26 mark.
The Mustangs struck again midway through the second period this time off the stick of DeVito as Stubbs and Ryan Bochert (Denver, Colo.) worked the puck around to the junior forward who beat the Cougars goal tender to the right post.
The Mustangs ended the second with a slashing penalty as time expired giving Chatham a power play opportunity to start the third. The Cougars capitalized as Noah Medalsy ripped a one timer from the blue line to cut the Morrisville lead to 2-1.
Morrisville weathered two penalty kills after the Chatham goal and were finally able to give themselves a cushion at the 14:30 mark when Jon Kasper (Pittsburgh, Pa.) notched his first of the season with a shot off of a pass from Christian Vella (Rochester, N.Y.) in front of the crease for the 3-1 lead.
The Mustangs capped their scoring with an empty netter by Vella with eight seconds remaining.
