COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today that NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented coverage of all Team USA games at the upcoming 2015 International Paralympic Committee Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, New York.
NBC Sports Network will televise up to three games featuring the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team, including Wednesday, April 29, when Team USA faces Italy in preliminary round action, and a potential semifinal game on Friday, May 1. Both of those contests will be aired on a same-day delayed basis at approximately 10:30 p.m. ET following the network’s NHL Stanley Cup playoff coverage. NBCSN will also provide live television coverage of the gold-medal game at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 3.
Mark Zumoff will handle play-by-play for the NBCSN broadcasts, with Andy Yohe providing color commentary and AJ Mleczko serving as the reporter. Yohe is a three-time Paralympic medalist for the U.S. in sled hockey, while Mleczko is a two-time Olympic medalist for the U.S. in women’s ice hockey.
In addition, NBC Sports Live Extra will live stream all Team USA games. The games that are streaming exclusively on NBC Sports Live Extra will feature three-time U.S. Paralympian Taylor Lipsett as the color commentator.
NOTES: The 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships will include unprecedented coverage overall in the U.S., with NBC Sports Live Extra streaming all 20 games from the championship.
