The New York Raptors Hockey Team was invited to play in this year’s Mayors Cup. The event was held on Saturday, Jan. 25 at Playland.
The Raptors played in one of the three games held that day as part of the Fourth Annual Mayors Cup. The first game was a modified contest.
The Raptors played at 6:30 against the Central Park Stars. The third game was a varsity contest between Rye Town/Harrison Titans and the White Plains Tigers. Coach David of the Raptors is also a coach with the Rye Town/Harrison team.
The Titans had a fundraising event for the Raptors that evening as well.
The Raptors and the Stars finished with a 4-4 tie. The Raptors now have a record of 1-0-1 for the 2019-20 season.
