In a 4-3 upset the sixth seed Binghamton upset the third seed Syracuse. For their efforts Binghamton will play the first seed NU.

Niagara defeated Binghamton 10-2 and 8-3 respectively in each meeting in the regular season.

“The regular season is over and as soon as that puck drops tomorrow it is a whole new season” said Associate Coach Clay Miller. “Binghamton outplayed us badly for the first 25 minutes last time we played that and that should leave a pretty bad taste with our players. We can’t have a let down. We can look around at other league playoffs and see that all the teams who obtained their leagues autobid didn’t win there leage playoffs. We have to show up ready to play and really take control of the game from the opening puck drop. If we get outplayed like we did down in Binghamton two weeks ago, it will be a lot tougher to get ourselves out of it.”

Faceoff is at 5pm at the Northtown Center. The winner of tomorrows contest will take on the winner of the Buffalo/Oswego game in the NECHL Championship.
