Novak recently completed a four-year career at Union, compiling 43 goals and 53 assists for 96 points in 141 games. He finished third on Union’s all-time game-winning goals list (11) and was a member of the 2014 NCAA Championship team.

Novak was a clutch performer in the postseason, scoring 15 goals (including six game-winners) in 26 playoff games. He was part of a senior class that won 99 games and went 22-4 in the playoffs, securing three-straight Whitelaw Cups as ECAC Hockey Tournament champions.

This past season Novak finished fourth in team scoring (28 points), compiling 10 goals and a career-high 18 assists in 35 games. He also finished as the sixth-leading scorer in league play (22 points).
