More than 580K Twitter users tuned in to the 2018 National Women’s Hockey League All-Star Game from St. Paul, Minnesota on Feb. 11.

With the NWHL All-Star Game drawing more than 580K total unique viewers, and now Team USA’s Olympic triumph and the massive broadcast ratings for the gold medal game, the audience for women’s hockey continues to grow.

“We know there are more steps to take, but the viewership and engagement with our fans on Twitter shows that professional women’s hockey has a large and avid following, and it’s only going to grow larger,” said NWHL Founder and Commissioner Dani Rylan. “Our partnership on the Twitter NWHL Game of the Week has brought live global streams to the fans, and we’re appreciative of everyone who has tuned in and become supporters of our league and our players.”

The All Star Game live stream was part of a global broadcast deal for the 2017-18 season previously announced by the NWHL and Twitter in June. The “NWHL Twitter Game of the Week” series continues on Sunday, March 4 with a matchup between the Buffalo Beauts and New York Riveters and can be viewed at NWHL.twitter.com or via @NWHL.
