CALGARY, AB — The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed goaltender Tom McCollum.
The former first round pick of the Detroit Red Wings played 30 games for the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins last season and went 15-13-0 with a 2.42 GAA and a .923 save percentage. The 26-year-old has cleared waivers and been assigned to Calgary’s AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat.
