O’Connor Recalled by Ottawa: Mazzano Signed To PTO

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Ottawa Senators have recalled goaltender Matt O’Connor on an emergency basis from the Binghamton Senators. In addition, the B-Sens signed goaltender Alex Vazzano to a Professional Tryout Contract.

O’Connor is expected to join Ottawa on the road in Edmonton today. In three games with Binghamton this season, O’Connor has a 2.35 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

Vazzano, 26, saw action in the ECHL during the 2015-16 season. The native of Trumbull, Conn. appeared in five games with Elmira, one game with Fort Wayne, and two games with Reading. Vazzano played four years of NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey, splitting two years at University of Vermont and two at Sacred Heart University.
