The Oswego State women’s ice hockey moved past host Buffalo State 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in an ECAC West matchup. Oswego’s win improves the team’s conference mark to 5-1-1 on the year and 9-4-1 overall. The Bengals remain winless on the season, falling to 0-14, 0-7.
Oswego outshot Buffalo State 37-17 in the contest, with starting Laker goaltender Tori Trovato making all 17 saves.
The Lakers struck first with just 1:25 left in the opening period when Erika Truschke scored off a pass from Ashley Lyman.
In the second period, Leslie Jarvis notched a goal at 17:37 off assists from Bailey Goodon and Emma Smetaniuk.
Oswego added its final goal eight minutes into the third period as Lizzy Marks beat the Bengal goaltender. Marks received help on the play from Kendall Appelbaum and Goodon’s second point of the contest.
