POTSDAM, N.Y.-SUNY Potsdam women’s hockey player Jordan Ott (Hilton, N.Y./Rochester Edge) has been named honorable mention All-Eastern College Athletic Conference West for the 2014-15 season. Ott was the ECAC West and USCHO.com’s Rookie of the Year last season.
Ott led the Bears in scoring again this year, with 10 goals and 12 assists in 25 games. She also led the team in game-winning goals (3) and power-play goal (2). In just two seasons with Potsdam, the sophomore ranks fifth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 58 points on 32 goals and 26 assists in 50 career games.
Ott, also an all-conference shortstop with the Bears softball team, will be patrolling the left side of the infield when Potsdam opens its season in Clermont, Fla. this Sunday, March 1.
The women’s hockey team posted a 9-15-1 overall record and a 5-11-1 mark in the ECAC West this season.
