Utica, N.Y. – CEO of Mohawk Valley Garden (MVG) Robert Esche announced today that Pepsi Beverages Company has signed a seven-year exclusive deal as the official soft drink of the Adirondack Bank Center. The deal, which applies to the arena and all of its tenants, lasts until 2026, and also covers 72 Tavern & Grill, the new full-service restaurant attached to The AUD, and Aqua Vino Restaurant and Banquets. Patrons of the Adirondack Bank Center can already expect to see PepsiCo products throughout the building, with vending machines being installed later this month.
“Pepsi Beverages Company is thrilled to embark on this newly formed partnership with the Adirondack Bank Center to drive excitement and engagement within the local community,” said Leslie Pelkey, Senior Key Account Manager with PepsiCo. “We are honored to be a part of this truly extraordinary organization and have the ability to offer our products within the arena, 72 Tavern & Grill and Aqua Vino Restaurant and Banquets.”
Headquartered in Purchase, New York, with offices in Utica, PepsiCo is another prominent addition to New York-based sponsors of the Adirondack Bank Center, a list that the building is continuously looking to grow. PepsiCo is a prominent brand sponsor throughout professional sports, with a current presence in the NHL, NHLPA, NFL, NBA and NASCAR. PepsiCo has previously been involved with the MSL and MLB. The NHL extended their contract with PepsiCo earlier this year for another five years.
“We are thrilled to add another national, New York-based brand to the Adirondack Bank Center,” said Jeff Stone, President of ORB Food & Beverage. “We’re excited to partner and grow in tandem throughout the next seven years.”
“Pepsi is not only a prevalent brand throughout society, but they also have goals and initiatives as a company that align seamlessly with the Comets and our other tenants,” said CEO of MVG Robert Esche. “We look forward to what the future holds with Pepsi as our partner.”
Additional PepsiCo products include Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Tropicana Beverages, Lipton Teas and Aquafina bottled water.
