On the first tally, freshman Olivia Ellis took a centering pass and tucked it inside the far post to even the score. Andrea Noss and Rachel Lenard assisted on the play. Just a minute later the Lakers were given a power play and Ellis put in a rebound to give Oswego a 2-1 lead.
The Pioneers evened the score with just under seven minutes remaining as sophomore Emily Coope (Phoenix, AZ/Colorado Tigers) netted her third goal of the year off an assist from Allison Buch (Alexandria, VA/Reston Raiders). Despite chances in the overtime, neither team was able to score the winner.
Utica outshot 39-18 on the day. The Lakers were 1 for 4 on the power-play, while Utica was held scoreless on three opportunities with the man advantage.
