PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men’s ice hockey program formally retired Doug Kimura’s No. 5 jersey in a pregame ceremony prior to the Cardinals’ game against SUNY Potsdam on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Kimura, who is also a Plattsburgh State Athletic Hall of Fame member and was named to the program’s 1975-84 All-Decade Team, helped the Cardinal men’s ice hockey team attain national prominence during his playing career from 1977-81 and set the foundation for a tradition of success for years to come.
