USCHO.com Division III Women’s Poll
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Plattsburgh State women’s ice hockey team garnered all 15-first place votes and 150 voting points to claim the No. 1 ranking in the first USCHO.com Division III Top-10 Poll of 2021-22, as announced.
Plattsburgh State is set to begin the 2021-22 regular season with a Northeast Women’s Hockey League (NEWHL) game against SUNY Cortland at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, inside the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.
The Cardinals, who have held the No. 1 ranking for 20 consecutive USCHO.com Division III polls, enter the season on an NCAA Division III women’s ice hockey record 40-game home winning streak.
Plattsburgh State has claimed seven NCAA Division III women’s ice hockey championships, including five titles in the last six completed NCAA Tournaments. The Cardinals, who won the most recently contested NCAA Division III championship game (2018-19), have qualified for the NCAA Tournament 16 times.
