POTSDAM, N.Y.-SUNY Potsdam junior women’s hockey player Kaylee Merrill (Wasilla, Alaska/Anchorage North Stars) has been named the Northeast Women’s Hockey League’s final Player of the Week for the 2021-22 season.
Merrill scored both goals for the Bears 2-1 win over Morrisville State in the regular season finale last Wednesday. Her team-leading 16 goals are the third most in a single season for the program and she ranks fourth in the category in the NEWHL this season. Merrill’s 29 career goals rank seventh on Potsdam’s list and she’s tied for 15th in all-time scoring with 37 points.
