COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Hockey announced today that participant registration is open for Try Hockey For Free Day, presented by Kraft Heinz. Nationwide events are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, as part of the fifth annual Come Play Hockey Month.
Parents and guardians can find the Try Hockey location closest to them and register children to participate by visiting TryHockeyForFree.com. Nearly 500 sites throughout the United States will host a Try Hockey For Free event on Nov. 7. Forty-eight of the nation’s 50 states will be represented, led by Wisconsin with 63 host sites and Minnesota with 53 sites.
USA Hockey’s Try Hockey For Free Days, with the support of the National Hockey League and NHL member clubs, among others, are designed to provide a national platform for introducing children to the sport, free of charge. Total Hockey and Liberty Mutual Insurance are official sponsors of Try Hockey For Free Days, presented by Kraft Heinz.
Equipment will be provided to children attending Try Hockey events and no experience is needed to participate.
