Eleven RIT women’s hockey players earned 2012-13 College Hockey America All-Academic team honors on Monday, July 29.  Junior Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy) and sophomore Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs) were named to the CHA Academic All-Star Team with identical 4.0 grade-point averages.

A new standard has been set in the classroom for the student-athletes of College Hockey America, as 77 have earned a spot on the All-Academic Team. A conference-record 11 student-athletes earned additional distinction as the CHA Student-Athletes of the Year by posting cumulative GPAs of 4.0.

To qualify for the College Hockey America All-Academic Team an individual must post a 3.0 grade point average or higher in all of the academic periods during which her team was actively competing.
