ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior assistant captain Dan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.) was voted the Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.
Willett anchored the RIT defense to a pair of victories over No. 19 Robert Morris, including a 6-1 win on Saturday and a 4-3 decision on Sunday.
The Colonials entered the weekend with Atlantic Hockey’s top scoring offense with 3.95 goals per game.
Willett also notched three assists on the weekend, including two in Saturday’s win, while also totaling four blocked shots during the doubleheader.
RIT hosts Niagara on Wednesday at 5:05 p.m. in the final home game of the regular season.
