COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four Americans were among the 32 on-ice officials from 13 different countries who were selected to work the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship in May in Copenhagen and Herning, Denmark.

After recently completing an assignment at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, Timothy Mayer will return to make his third appearance as a referee at this year’s IIHF Men’s World Championship (2016, 2015). Stephen Reneau and Brian Oliver both represented the U.S. as on-ice officials during the 2017 tournament, and Jake Davis will make his tournament debut after having previously worked at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship. The U.S., along with Canada, Finland and Russia, is best represented among all tournament official home countries.
