The Rochester Seniors upset the Buffalo Seniors 3-2 in Overtime in the 2022 Scotty Bowman Cup at Key Bank Center Wednesday evening. Evan Plouffe of Portside had the game-winner.
Michael Robertson, Orchard Park, opened the scoring for Buffalo 37 seconds into the game. Shane Melead, Gneseo/Avon/Livonia tied it and then Justin Walker, LewPort, sent Buffalo ahead 2-1.
Jack Stappenbeck of Webster-Thomas tied with 9:35 left in the third, sending the game into overtime.
Helping Rochester to the win were goaltenders Charlie Healey (Gates/Wayne/EL/Wheatland); Dominic Andrade (Penfield) and Luciano Chinappi (Hilton).
