SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — It took Viktor Liljegren three shots, but he eventually got the gamewinner past the goal line, giving Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) the 2-1 overtime victory over #2 Union in ECAC Men’s Hockey action on Saturday evening before a sold out crowd of 2,260 at Messa Rink. The win completed the two-game weekend sweep for the Engineers over the Dutchmen.
