BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Kyle Criscuolo (krihs-KOH-loh) and defenseman Casey Nelson from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Criscuolo (5’9”, 172 lbs., 5/5/1992) joins the Sabres for his first career recall after signing a two-year contract with the team in July. Now in his second full professional season after signing with the Sabres in March 2016, Nelson (6’1”, 185 lbs., 7/18/1992) has posted four points (1+3) in 14 games with Rochester in 2017-18. A native of Stillwater, Minnesota, Nelson has totaled four assists and 12 penalty minutes in 18 career NHL games with Buffalo.
In a corresponding move, the Sabres have placed defensemen Taylor Fedun and Matt Tennyson on injured reserve.
