SABRES TO VISIT ST. CATHARINES HOSPITAL AS PART OF ‘INVADE CANADA’ TOUR

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 5, 2013) – The Buffalo Sabres today announced that members of the Sabres organization will visitthe Niagara Health System’s St. Catharines hospital site as part of the team’s second annual “Invade Canada Caravan” tour next Monday, Sept. 9. As part of the tour, members of the Sabres organization —including current and former players— will visit various locations in Fort Erie, St. Catharines and throughout Southern Ontario.
The visit to the St. Catharines hospital, which opened in the spring of 2013 as a replacement facility for the former St. Catharines General and Ontario Street sites, will take place on Monday from 3-4:30 p.m.
During the hospital stop, the Sabres visitors will visit the Children’s Health Unit and Chemotherapy Clinic to sign autographs and spread some cheer.  The Sabres will also pay a visit to an Emergency Department Trauma Room that has been named in appreciation of the Sabres Foundation and Alumni Association to honor their support of the hospital.
