Buffalo, NY — Shelby Bram has signed a contract with the Buffalo Beauts for the 2016-17 season, General Manager Ric Seiling announced Wednesday. Bram and the Beauts agreed to terms on a one-year, $15,000 contract.

“Last year, Shelby was truly a cornerstone of our team,” said Seiling. “Her style of play and commitment to the Beauts was an inspiration to our team and fans. We look forward to her continual no-quit play to help take us to the next level.”

Bram, an assistant captain, scored 10 points (4g, 6a) in 15 games with the Beauts last season. She was invited to Hockey Canada’s Fall Festival prior to the 2015 Four Nations Cup tournament, and previously played in the 2011 IIHF U18 World Championship.

“I am excited to join the Buffalo Beauts for a second season,” said Bram. “I really enjoyed my time with the organization and can’t wait to take another shot at winning the Isobel Cup championship with them this upcoming season. We came a long way together last season and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Beauts as we add pieces to our team.”

Restricted free agency began April 1 and lasted until April 30. Free agency began May 1 and lasts until July 31. The 2016 NWHL Draft is June 18.
