Event Set for Jan. 17 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced the Equipment Manager for Team White for the 2022 BioSteel All-American Game, set for Jan. 17 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth. Brian Stoya (Muskegon Lumberjacks/Lake George, N.Y.) will serve as athletic trainer for Team White.
Stoya is entering his first year as the Lumberjacks’ head equipment manager in 2021-22.
Before arriving in the Port City, Stoya was the head equipment manager with the Columbus River Dragons in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Previously, Stoya spent two seasons as the head equipment manager of the USHL’s Dubuque Fighting Saints from 2018 to 2020.
Stoya received a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland in 2017 where he was the student equipment manager for the Red Dragons from 2016-17. Additionally, Stoya interned with Union College’s Men’s and Women’s hockey programs working with the equipment staff.
Coming from a hockey family, Stoya’s brother, Kevin, currently plays for the Salem State Vikings, and his older brother, Greg, played for Framingham State Rams.
A Lake George, N.Y. native, Stoya is an avid New Jersey Devils fan.
