The NWHL announced its second Orange signing with Brook Avery re-signing with the Metropolitan Riveters.
Avery, who scored five goals for the Riveters last season in 21 games, was an alternate captain as a senior in 2018-19, while finishing second on the team with 22 points. Avery is responsible for sending the Orange to their first NCAA Tournament after scoring the game-winning goal in the CHA title game in 2019.
The forward is one-of-eight former ‘Cuse players to play in the NWHL and one-of-four players currently in the league, with Lindsay Eastwood, Allie LaCombe and Savannah Rennie all currently playing.
