Union College (10-7-1) opens the new year with a nationally-televised encounter against top-ranked Boston University (11-3-2) of Hockey East this Saturday (Jan. 3) at Agganis Arena. The game will be carried on the NBC Sports Network with a 7:10 p.m. faceoff.
Remarkably, this will be the first-ever meeting between the east coast schools as the Dutchmen compete in their 72nd varsity season (24th at the Division I level) and the Terriers embark on their 93rd season. The teams have played a combined 3,865 games all-time, but never against each other.
