SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Last spring, Union ended Dartmouth’s season in the ECAC Hockey playoffs.  The Big Green extracted a measure of revenge with a 4-3 overtime come-from-behind win Friday in ECAC Hockey action.  The Dutchmen have lost four straight games for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

Dartmouth scored four straight goals after falling behind 3-0 midway through the second period.  Tim O’Brien scored the game-winning goal 3:22 into overtime after his shot off a faceoff win deflected off a Union player past goaltender Colin Stevens.

Union built a 3-0 lead behind goals from Tyler Hynes, Max Novak and Spencer Foo.  Hynes opened scoring with his first collegiate goal, tucking a shot into the upper corner of the net on a shot taken from inside the left faceoff circle.  Union followed with two more tallies in the middle period, as Novak roofed a backhander on a breakaway at 4:59, followed by Foo’s shot from the slot at 9:31that was setup on an 80-foot pass from defenseman Jeff Taylor.

Dartmouth battled back on Eric Robinson’s power play goal scored with 1:59 left in the second period.  Trailing 3-1 entering the third period, Tyler Sikura scored at4:40 before Brad Schierhorn forced overtime with his first goal of the season, tallied with 50 seconds left and goaltender James Kruger pulled for the extra skater.
