COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.– The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced today that the U.S. National Sled Hockey team has earned Best of December accolades for the Team USA Awards, which recognize the outstanding achievements of Team USA athletes from last month. Last month at the 2019 Canadian Tire Para Hockey Cup, the U.S. National Sled Hockey team skated to a perfect 5-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record for a third-straight year at this event and outscored its opponents 25-2.The U.S. defeated Canada 2-1 in the championship game to secure its sixth-straight Para Hockey Cup title. Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) and Josh Hargis (Colorado Springs, Colo.) each tallied a goal to help lead the U.S. to a record seventh title and 13th podium finish since the event began in 2007. Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) led the tournament with 10 points (3-7) while Farmer led the way with six goals, including his 100th Team USA career goal against Russia in the opening game of the tournament.
