OSHAWA, Ont. – Jack Roslovic (Columbus, Ohio/Manitoba Moose) tallied a goal and an assist and nine other U.S. players registered a point as Team USA defeated Switzerland, 4-3, here tonight in a pre-tournament game ahead of the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. The U.S. will play its second and final pre-tournament game against the Czech Republic at the Rogers K-Rock Centre in Kingston, Ontario, on Friday, Dec. 23. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET.
“To win as a team right off the bat is great and I thought there were times tonight where our style of play really showed what we can be capable of,” said Bob Motzko, head coach of the 2017 U.S. National Junior Team. “The game was what we expected — a lot of positives and a lot of little things that can and will be fixed. We’re happy to have this game under our belt as we get closer to making some decisions before the tournament begins.”
