PLYMOUTH, Michigan — USA Hockey announced that Lisa Vollmers has been promoted to director of student-athlete services at USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. Also announced, Brendan Ryan has been hired as a corporate ticket sales representative at USA Hockey Arena.

For the past 11 seasons, Vollmers served as academic advisor for both the U.S. National Under-17 and Under-18 Teams at the NTDP, enrolling players, monitoring their academic careers and providing on-going communication between billets, teachers and NTDP staff. Vollmers’ new role will expand her responsibilities to include housing and life-skills programming.

In addition to Vollmers’ NTDP duties, she is the NCAA Liaison Coordinator for the Ann Arbor Public Schools District, and is also entering her 26th year as a teacher for Ann Arbor Schools, having taught European history and American studies.

Ryan, a USA Hockey Level 3 certified coach, most recently served as team coordinator for the Grand Valley State University Roller Hockey Club, overseeing all aspects of team operations, including finance, communication and merchandise. He also spent time with the Grand Haven Area Convention & Visitors Bureau as a social media interface specialist.
