BRNO, Czech Republic — The U.S. National Under-17 Team earned second place at the 2017 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament following the conclusion of the tournament games this afternoon at the DRFG Arena.
Team USA finished 2-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) at this year’s event, which earned them eight points. With a victory today, Sweden also earned eight points and because of the head-to-head tiebreaker scenario, captured first place.
NOTES: The U17s have now placed fifth, first and second in international tournaments during the 2016-17 season … The Under-17 Team returns to USA Hockey Arena on Friday (Feb. 17) for a matchup against the Chicago Steel .
